Once upon a time.....

16 Apr, 2025

There was a time not terribly long ago.....when an escort had created an escort forum on which clients and escorts could have a safe place to discuss their industry, uplift one another, and avoid the smut and tackiness of the exisiting review boards and their developing culture. That forum was called Cerb, and it called itself an escort Recommendation board. I believe it's intent was to differ from the rest by not allowing escorts to be as objectified as they were on the other boards, by not allowing ratings or reviews, rather by recommending them..... It encouraged clients who were pleased with the service they received from a particular escort, to write a post to recommend that escort to other discerning gentlemen on that forum. To let them know that the escort was safe to see, reliable, and an upstanding member of the community. The client members, to my memory, had more decorum back then. Their posts and recommendations read like they were more concerned with receiving great service, rather than if the escort was a 10 or fit a particular esthetic. They celebrated the idea that people had discerning but differing tastes. All shapes, ethnicities, sizes and ages of escorts were accepted and shown appreciation. As were the styles of services they provided. Although I should point out, back then the bbbj and kissing were deemed necessary if you were to advertise yourself as a GFE escort. The bbbj was more promoted and promoted as being safe and normal. The pendulum has swung in the opposite direction there now, which isn't a bad thing. There were rules that applied on that forum, at that time, and those rules were closely followed and enforced by moderators. Some of the rules were.... No pimps were allowed, and if you were an escort agency you had to pay to post and you couldn't take part in what was being said by other escorts inside the private sp section of that board... They vetted people more closely then, so it seemed..... no reviewing or rating systems were allowed, nor could you encourage receiving reco's by offering a discount or any other favors, this was extremely frowned upon. You'd be shamed by existing members if you even mentioned such a thing. No explicit details were allowed to be written in the reco and never could you mention an escorts incall location. Negative reviews weren't allowed. Nor could you complain or discuss our rates/fees, ever. Any posts even leaning in that direction were erased and their op (original poster) was chastised and penalized. Cerb differed in the way that it encouraged positivity, stood up for escorts, by disallowing any negative posts that could injure an escorts reputation. It's motto was "if you haven't anything nice to say, say nothing at all"...They knew that in most cases if a client had an issue with an escort it was because of either incompatibility, lack of chemistry, or because the client pushed boundaries. To many subjective points to ponder when it comes to negative reviews, and quite honestly, positive ones also. Which is why I dislike them all...And.... to give an escort a poor review just because you thought they weren't attractive, or because of other petty things wasn't a fair reason to possibly ruin that escorts reputation and kill their ability to earn their living......Cerb tried to be fair and reasonable. It stood out from the other boards in that way. Although it too had some issues.... Independence was celebrated then. The board was initially set up to be a beacon of light amidst what was becoming a very clouded industry. Thanks to the review boards that were and still are, a free range for all the ner do wells in this industry. Sadly it didn't take long for Cerb too, to devolve....to become just as scammy, slimy, cheap and harmful as all the other boards....Cerb was sold in 2018 when the owners of leolist bought and renamed it Lyla...and it's downward spiral just spun faster and further....

Although it still considers itself a recommendation board, it has become a review board and exactly what all the other sleazy boards already were and still are.... a wasteland of nefariousness and dishonesty. A posting haven for the disgruntled, and depraved....There are no longer any rules being enforced, or followed. It once held some value for an escort to have a membership there. It was once favorable to their reputation. No longer. That board no longer offers anything of benefit to this industry. It is sad just how far they've fallen. They are now just as slimy and sleazy as all the others. Men are on Lyla mocking and rating the very women they pay. The disrespect and entitlement is rife there. So many people on there aren't who they represent themselves to be... pimps posing as clients, other ladies posing as "clients" to influence their reputations or to harm others, and every type of client is now allowed..... Clients who see women as objects with no regard for discretion or safety....They use the board to promote the ladies they favor, and bash those they dislike. Regardless of the favors or dislike being fairly earned. No longer are many of the recos written for honest or honorable reasons. It is no longer a place where independence is celebrated. To be accepted there you either belong to the "right group" or you don't. Back in the cerb days you could be a lone wolf without issue. The "groupie culture" wasn't as big of a thing back then, as it is now, and people didn't play the kids games they play today. Liking or disliking someone simply because of who they group with......Now being a truly independent person there will only invite trouble, possibly even a negative or questionable reputation.... and please understand the title "verified independent"  now given to the "accepted" escort members who are allowed to advertise there, simply means that escort first became "verified" on one of Lylas other owned sites, leolist or vipfavors. And being verified means that the escort has posed in pictures holding a piece of paper, on which a date and that sites name is written. Not much of a verification system, lol!! That type of verification holds no value to vetting a persons honesty, character, or anything else that should give a client a sense of safety. And I'm not saying this to bash those ladies who've verified that way. As there are some very professional and lovely ladies taking part on that board and in that process. And there are a few good clients there too.... I'm saying this because it's a system that is fallible and proves nothing.

Anyhow, the good ole days of escorting are long gone. No longer should anyone who supports those boards be bothered by the negative ways this industry is seen by Joe and Jane public. I see it as hypocritical to be involved in the review board culture and a member of those boards, while promoting escorting as a safe, viable industry, and honorable profession. If you promote and belong to those boards you are complicit in promoting most of the negativity that the public sees us as representing. If you truly cared about evolving this industry, then you'd be speaking out against, and stepping away from forums which are harmful to all of us. The review boards....but sadly here we are. Most no longer care..... We have some escorts who simply care about lining their pockets, by any means, and some clients who'll do anything and say anything for an escort who has won them over.....Welcome to the world of no scrupples, lol.
